People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyeok said on the 19th, "These days, the president's social media (SNS) is filled entirely with real estate, but the president's SNS should include not only real estate but also the exchange rate, prices, and jobs."
At a supreme council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Jang said, "I almost died of overwork during this Lunar New Year holiday answering the SNS questions the president sent, and I couldn't even perform the ancestral rites," and stated accordingly. During the holiday, Jang engaged in a war of words over multiple homeownership with President Lee on SNS.
He added, "I don't know why the president of Korea seems to shrink in front of Trump," and said, "If meeting with the opposition leader feels awkward, the president communicates via SNS, so if meeting President Trump also feels awkward, I hope at least you will conduct the tariff negotiations well via SNS."
Floor leader Song Eon-seog also said, "President Lee's SNS remarks over the Lunar New Year holiday are shaking the predictability of the real estate market and disrupting the market," and "President Lee warned that holding multiple homes would be a loss, but as controversy grew, stepped back by saying he had never forced sales."
He went on, "Rather than shaking the market with emotional and impulsive SNS messages, we must focus on responsible policy design based on a cool-headed understanding of the market economy," and said, "Immediately stop the divide-and-rule approach of sorting 'good' and 'bad' multiple-home owners and focus on real real estate policy."
