Kim Jae-seop of the People Power Party on the 13th criticized the government's real estate supply plan for the Seoul metropolitan area, saying, "The way to correct failed real estate policy is not with false supply announcements, but by acknowledging the failure and scrapping the current real estate policy as quickly as possible, even a day sooner."
Kim that day shared on Facebook an article saying there had been no prior consultations with major public institutions in the Seoul metropolitan area regarding the Jan. 29 real estate measures, and said, "Lee Jae-myung, who rushed out a supply plan without even securing the sites, must want to build 'Olympus on a mountaintop' or 'Laputa floating in the air.'"
Kim said, "No matter how much you bluster, you cannot build a single home with showy announcements alone," and added, "You used 'hotel economics' to fabricate nonexistent demand, and now are you creating nonexistent dwellings supply with lies? This is the true face of Lee Jae-myung's so-called practical administration."
Kim criticized, "Unless the intent is to suddenly 'revive' the Seoul real estate market that Lee Jae-myung himself set ablaze, Lee deceived the public with a fake supply announcement."
