The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) said on the 11th that it conducted interview evaluations the previous day for the final candidates for KOCCA president, but all failed based on the results.
KOCCA is an institution that supports the overall domestic content industry, including broadcasting, games, music, fashion, animation, characters, and comics, and executes an annual budget of more than 600 billion won. The president's term is three years.
In this recruitment, 32 people applied at the first document submission stage, and some of them advanced to the final interview. It was reported that the final shortlist included industry figures from broadcasters and production companies, including actor Lee Won-jong.
Lee Won-jong is a mid-career actor who has worked in drama, film, and variety shows since his 1992 debut and is widely known to the public for his role as Gu Majeok in the drama "Rustic Period." During the presidential campaign, Lee made remarks supporting President Lee Jae-myung.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) said that if all are again deemed unqualified even after the final interviews following the reopened recruitment, it will readjust the recruitment conditions and restart the process from the beginning to recruit candidates anew.
