Kim discussed the security situation on the Korean Peninsula, South Korea-U.S. Army military innovation efforts, and regional multilateral security cooperation with Commander CLARK Material Handling Asia. In particular, Kim expressed gratitude for U.S. Army Pacific's efforts contributing to strengthening the South Korea-U.S. combined defense posture and exchanged views on promoting military innovation that applies advanced science and technology.
Commander CLARK Material Handling Asia highly evaluated the South Korean Army's readiness posture and military capabilities and said the two sides would continue cooperation in combined training and military innovation as a central axis of the alliance.
The South Korea-U.S. Armies agreed to use the Indo-Pacific Land Forces Symposium (LANPAC), hosted by the Association of the U.S. Army in May, as an opportunity to strengthen security cooperation with friendly nations in the region.
