President Lee Jae-myung expressed deep condolences over the train collision in Spain that left 42 people dead.
On the 21st, the president said on X (formerly Twitter), "I pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in the high-speed train accident in Córdoba, Spain."
He added, "I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and extend my deepest condolences to the people of Spain, including the bereaved families," and "I hope the damage is addressed as soon as possible and that you return to your peaceful daily lives."
The president posted the same message in Spanish.
On the 18th in Córdoba Province, Spain, two high-speed trains carrying about 500 people collided, leaving 42 dead so far. Authorities are conducting searches for survivors and rescue operations.
