Kim Hea-kyung, who is on a state visit to China with President Lee Jae-myung, stepped forward in China as a "K-beauty" ambassador.
On the 7th, Kim visited the "K-beauty Glow Week" held at the Shanghai Fuxing Art Center and said, "The strength of K-beauty is that it responds quickly to consumer demands. Please show a lot of love for K-beauty." K-beauty Glow Week is an event joined by some 50 small and midsize K-beauty brands.
Kim cited trends and diversity as K-beauty's strengths. Kim said, "Korean women are sensitive to cosmetics depending on their skin, so (K-beauty) products vary by skin type and season," and added, "Many travelers to Korea buy a lot of Korean cosmetics, and even if you cannot come directly to Korea, you can purchase them here in China."
Kim tried on a lip balm made with royal jelly herself, saying, "I drink a little honey water like this every morning, and applying this product seems like it would be very good for health." She also personally tried products such as essences and hair items and mentioned the strengths of several products.
Kim also communicated with Chinese influencers and wanghong. At the request of one wanghong, she even joined an impromptu live broadcast.
Kim also said, "When my husband, the president, comes home from work, we do 'one sheet mask a day' together. Sheet masks are really cost-effective."
