Wi Sung-lac, director of national security at the presidential office, said on the 2nd that "Korea and China will pursue 'win-win cooperation' that leverages each side's comparative advantages and expands their shared interests."
Deputy Minister Wi held a briefing at the Chunchugwan press center at the Blue House on the morning of the 2nd regarding President Lee Jae-myung's state visit to China from the 4th to the 7th and stated accordingly.
Deputy Minister Wi said, "We will strengthen practical cooperation in livelihood sectors based on horizontal, mutually beneficial cooperation between Korea and China," adding, "We will pursue horizontal, reciprocal cooperation in step with changes in the structure of Korea-China economic cooperation so that the people of both countries can tangibly feel the restoration of relations."
She added, "In areas directly tied to people's livelihoods in both countries—such as supply chains, investment, the digital economy, ventures and startups, climate change, people-to-people exchanges, tourism, and responses to transnational crime—we will leverage each side's comparative advantages and expand our shared interests."
