Jang Dong-hyeok of the People Power Party said on the 21st that "President Lee Jae-myung shouted not to block our people from seeing Rodong Sinmun, the organ of the Central Committee of the (North) Korean Workers' Party," adding, "President Lee, get a grip."
Jang wrote on his Facebook page that day, "President Lee Jae-myung, immediately upon taking office, turned off the cross-border broadcasts that had never been switched off for 50 years. He rubbed salt in the wound of the public by saying he wanted to apologize to the North for sending leaflets."
He went on, "A president who should uphold the Constitution is openly defying the spirit of liberal democratic peaceful unification that the Constitution aspires to," and said, "The destination the Lee Jae-myung administration is heading for now is not 'peaceful unification' but disarmament and 'white-flag surrender' to the North."
Jang also wrote, "Our people are angry while Kim Jong-un is smirking and applauding," adding, "President Lee Jae-myung, get a grip."
Earlier, on the 19th at a Unification Ministry briefing, President Lee said, "Isn't the reason for blocking access to Rodong Sinmun, the organ of the Central Committee of the (North) Korean Workers' Party, that people might fall for that propaganda and become reds?" and added, "Isn't this treating the people not as autonomous beings but as those who will be swayed by propaganda and agitation?"
