Former Unification Church world headquarters chief Yun Young-ho did not disclose on the 10th the list of Democratic Party of Korea politicians who allegedly received money or valuables from the Unification Church, while former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon directly criticized President Lee Jae-myung, saying, "You can't cover this up like this."
Han, the former party leader, said on Facebook that day, "Since the president publicly said twice that he would 'kill them if they don't talk,' just as I predicted yesterday, the Unification Church side got scared and did not release the list of Democratic Party figures who took money as they had signaled."
He added, "You can't cover this up like this," because "the public is extremely angry at the rotten politicians who took the Unification Church's 'bokdon.'"
Former chief Yun Young-ho was known as the "No. 2" in the Unification Church. At his sentencing hearing held that day, he drew attention amid reports that he would disclose the real names of Democratic Party of Korea politicians supported by the Unification Church, but he ultimately did not mention them.
Han also shared on Facebook remarks he made on a terrestrial broadcast the previous day. In that broadcast, Han said, "Of course, I think this is intimidation. If, cowed by this intimidation, the Unification Church side ends up not talking about the list of people on the Democratic Party side who received money tomorrow as they publicly declared and promised, I think that could happen. Power is scary, you know."
He added, "Didn't the president openly say he would kill them? Then some degree of compromise could be reached here. I think we need to keep a close eye on that tomorrow."
