President Lee Jae-myung, a day before the College Scholastic Ability Test on the 12th, sent a message of support to test-takers, saying, "I hope luck will be with you, who possess infinite potential."
The president said in a Facebook post that day, "I am truly proud of you, who have believed in yourselves and walked steadfastly and boldly to get here," and added, "I support all of your dreams."
He went on to encourage, "Around this time every year, the cold wind would blow and it would be chilly, but I am relieved that the weather is especially warm this year," and "Every day you have passed through so intensely, without a moment to catch your breath, will make you deeper and more solid people."
The president also thanked parents and teachers who supported the test-takers. He said, "I also send warm encouragement to parents and teachers who have been with them with hearts as anxious as the students'."
He also said, "I send congratulations and support to those who found their paths early and are building expertise in their respective fields instead of taking the CSAT," and "I feel reassured when I think of you who will become proud talent of the Republic of Korea."
The president also emphasized, "The CSAT is by no means all there is to life." He said, "If the results fall short of expectations, it may feel as if everything has collapsed, but the CSAT is just one of the many opportunities you will face in life," and added, "Even if your preparation was somewhat lacking, even if you make big or small mistakes, I hope you will engrave deeply in your hearts that this is not the end."
