Tak Hyeon-min, a special professor at Mokpo National University who served as Blue House protocol secretary under the Moon Jae-in administration, said he is preparing a YouTube program to introduce books together with Moon Jae-in.
Tak appeared on CBS Radio "Park Jae-hong's Hanpan Seungbu" on the 3rd and said, "Moon Jae-in is running Pyeongsan Bookstore, and we are preparing a YouTube program to introduce books at Pyeongsan Bookstore."
Tak said, "We will be able to meet you in November," adding, "I will host, and the former president will introduce books. They will be Moon's picks. We plan to introduce about one or two books a week."
Filming will take place separately at a Seoul studio and on location at the former president's Pyeongsan Bookstore, and the two shoots will be combined for broadcast.
Tak said, "Tak Hyeon-min is hardly mentioned on the program," adding, "I haven't thought of a segment name yet."
Regarding the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, Tak mentioned U.S. President Donald Trump eating a hamburger alone at the Gyeongju Hilton Hotel and said, "People's standards are different. Put another way, wasn't Trump eating alone at a hotel?" This appears to refer to the controversy that arose when Moon Jae-in ate "alone" during his 2017 state visit to China.
Tak said, "It's the same as the (U.S.) president going all the way to Korea and eating a Big Mac alone in his room. I have never heard Americans criticize him for that," adding, "There are still people who fault Moon Jae-in for doing that in China to emphasize rapport with local residents."
Tak said, "I hope the so-called Trump 'hon-burger' incident will put an end to such preposterous claims."
