According to the presidential office on the 28th, President Lee is considering a specially made Gyeongju gold crown as a gift for President Trump's visit to Korea. The presidential office said, "We are reviewing a Gyeongju gold crown as a gift for U.S. President Donald Trump, who is visiting Korea on the occasion of APEC," adding, "The crown in question is a specially made crown model."
The presidential office is preparing customized gifts for each national leader attending the Gyeongju Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The Gyeongju gold crown appears to reflect President Trump's preference for gold ornamentation.
President Trump is known to prefer golden-hued interiors. During a visit to Japan from Korea, a golden golf ball was also chosen as a gift for President Trump.
