The National Data Agency said on the 21st that it will conduct the 2025 Population and Housing Census from Oct. 22 to Nov. 18. The Population and Housing Census marks its 100th anniversary this year.
According to the agency, households selected as a sample (20% of all households) can participate in the online and telephone surveys starting tomorrow, Oct. 22, by using the participation number in the survey notice sent by mail.
The online survey is available on the census website (census.go.kr). Using the QR code in the notice, people can also take part via mobile devices such as smartphones.
To make it easy and convenient for foreigners to join the online and telephone surveys, the agency prepared foreign-language specialist counselors in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and others, as well as electronic questionnaires in 20 foreign languages.
If households are unable to participate in the online or telephone survey by Oct. 31, from Nov. 1 to 18 a statistical investigator will visit the household to conduct the survey.
National Data Agency Commissioner An Hyeong-jun said, "We ask for active participation so that the results of this survey can be returned as policies for the people."
