Lawmakers of the Democratic Party of Korea will visit the United States during the Chuseok holiday to provide support through "parliamentary diplomacy" in connection with tariff negotiations.
According to political circles on the 5th, four lawmakers, including Lee Eon-ju, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party, will visit the United States on the 7th and carry out a schedule that includes a meeting with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce board of directors led by Ross Perot Jr.
Democratic Party lawmakers plan to visit big tech corporations in Silicon Valley and Bell Labs in the United States. They will also convey Korea's position on $350 billion (about 439 trillion won) in investments in the United States to American businesspeople.
On the 8th (local time), the Supreme Council member will also speak at Stanford University in California. The lecture topic is "Do not cut open the belly of the goose that lays golden eggs," and she will present to students on industrial and economic cooperation between Korea and the United States.
