Prime Minister Kim Min-seok said on the 3rd, "I will listen widely to the people's voices and pursue a politics of unity that embraces diverse views."
Kim said this at the ceremony marking the 4,357th National Foundation Day held at the Sejong Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, saying, "Confronted with an unconstitutional and illegal insurrection, the people faithfully upheld law and order and defended democracy with their whole bodies."
He went on to say, "The people overcame the crisis and launched a popular-sovereignty government," adding, "The popular-sovereignty government, based on the Hongik Ingan spirit, has adopted as its national vision a nation where the people are the owners and a Korea where we are happy together."
Kim pledged "unity and listening," saying, "We will consistently listen to each and every citizen's opinion and build a harmonious community that transcends generations, regions, and classes."
He also stressed practicality and performance, saying, "We will intensively foster strategic industries such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, bio, and the space industry to secure future growth engines, and we will back the people's creativity and drive through bold regulatory innovation."
