Kim Sang-ho, the presidential office's secretary for press support (Chunchugwan director) who previously served as a public relations special adviser to President Lee Jae-myung, reported assets of 6,078,370,000 won. He was found to hold the most assets among officials affiliated with the presidential office.
The Ministry of Personnel Management on the 26th disclosed the assets of 145 people subject to ad hoc property disclosures under the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee. Those in this ad hoc disclosure group are officials who were added to the disclosure list between Jun. 2 and Jul. 2. It is also the first asset disclosure for officials affiliated with the presidential office under the Lee Jae-myung administration.
Among officials in the presidential office, the one who reported the largest assets was Secretary Kim Sang-ho. Kim is a closest aide who served as head of the public relations special advisers when Lee Jae-myung was leader of the Democratic Party of Korea. He has long handled President Lee's messaging and media strategy as part of the influential ruling camp group known as the "Gyeonggi/Seongnam line."
Most of Secretary Kim's assets are in real estate. He reported, in joint ownership with his spouse, six multi-family homes and one apartment. The total is 7.5 billion won. He also reported his own 2015 Audi A6 and his spouse's 2025 K9, and deposits totaling 386,490,000 won combining himself, his spouse, and their three children.
As for stocks, Secretary Kim himself held 5,149 shares (34,440,000 won) of Netmarble Neo, an unlisted company, and his spouse also held 471 shares (31,080,000 won) of Netmarble Neo. The spouse also held 109,510,000 won worth of virtual assets including Locus Chain, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Moon Jin-young, the presidential office's senior secretary for social affairs, reported assets of 5,531,970,000 won, the second-largest after Secretary Kim. Moon reported 4,860,120,000 won in buildings alone, including a mixed-use building in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul; Hangaram Apartment in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul; and land in Cheongpa-dong 2-ga, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Notable as well is ownership of 30,551 shares (149,850,000 won) of New Power Plasma, a KOSDAQ-listed company.
Lee Tae-hyung, secretary for civil affairs, also reported assets of 5,530,670,000 won. For buildings alone, Lee's assets amounted to 5,764,000,000 won, including his own Useong Apartment in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul; his spouse's multi-family house in Jungang-dong, Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province; and buildings in Helio City in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, owned by the eldest and second sons.
Kim Yong-beom, Presidential Chief of Staff for Policy, reported assets of 4,224,210,000 won. His spouse owns 271,560,000 won worth of forest land in Geumgok-dong, Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and Napo-myeon, Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, and he reported 1,867,850,000 won in buildings combining himself, his spouse and their eldest daughter. He and his spouse jointly own Seocho Raemian (111.92 square meters) in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Bong Uk, the presidential office's senior secretary for civil affairs, reported assets of 4,362,530,000 won. Bong owns a multi-family home in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and part of the Oksu Heights Apartment in Oksu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. He and his spouse held 24,610 and 49,100 shares, respectively, of Macquarie Korea Infrastructure, and their eldest daughter also held 2,409 shares of Macquarie Korea Infrastructure.
Choi Seong-a, secretary for foreign media, also reported assets of 4,778,860,000 won, centered on real estate such as Geumho Samsung Raemian Apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and Deoksugung Lotte Castle in Sunhwa-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. Choi's spouse holds 9,040,000 won worth of virtual assets, drawing attention for holding small amounts of dozens of types of virtual assets.
Ha Jeong-u, senior secretary for AI future planning who came from corporations, reported assets of 2,860,600,000 won. Ha jointly owns, with his spouse, Park Town Apartment in Sunae-dong, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and held deposits of 529,100,000 won and securities worth 888,410,000 won.
Ha's largest stock holding was Naver with 2,539 shares, and he also held AI-related stocks including Broadcom 2 shares, Nvidia 10 shares, Webtoon Entertainment 10 shares, Intel 16 shares, and Palantir Tech 5 shares. Among unlisted stocks, he held 10,000 shares of Upstage. His spouse also holds 300 shares of HyperExcel, an unlisted stock.
Woo Sang-ho, the presidential office's senior secretary for political affairs, reported assets of 1,722,670,000 won. Building assets were the largest at 1,339,130,000 won, including a detached house in Ildong-myeon, Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, owned by him, and a jeonse right for Daewoo Apartment in Yeonhui, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, owned by his spouse.
Lee Gyu-yeon, the presidential office's senior secretary for public affairs, reported 2,104,960,000 won, and Ha Jun-kyung, the senior secretary for economic affairs, reported 3,307,460,000 won in assets, respectively.
