People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk on the 11th criticized the 100th day of President Lee Jae-myung's inauguration as "a briefing to turn the democratic republic defined in Article 1 of the Constitution into a 'Democratic Party republic.'"
That afternoon at the National Assembly, Jang held a press conference and said, "It was not 100 days of recovery but 100 days of destruction. What we see today (the 11th), 100 days on, is not separation of powers but 'separation of three lines of control.'"
He added, "In common talk, people say there is the Yongsan president Lee Jae-myung, the Yeouido president Jeong Cheong-rae, and the Chungjeongno president Kim Eo-jun," stressing, "The floor leader's words are overturned by the party leader, and in the end we have reasonable suspicions that the party leader is being controlled by someone."
Jang also said, "We have opened an era of 'separation of three lines of control,' in which power is divided among one visible president and two invisible presidents, three presidents," adding, "The Lee Jae-myung administration can be described as anti-economy, anti-people's livelihoods, and anti-democracy."
He went on, "With the Commercial Act and the Yellow Envelope Act (amendments to Articles 2 and 3 of the Labor Union Act), they are ultimately creating a country where corporations cannot breathe and are making corporations leave Korea," pointing out, "The Lee Jae-myung government is trying to open national debt to 2,000 trillion won. Even so, they say national debt is no big deal."
Regarding the detention of Korean workers in Georgia, United States, he said, "They even tried to put the Georgia situation on the 100th-day briefing to make it look like they did something properly and released a position, but in the end the workers could not board the plane yesterday (the 10th)," adding, "As president, he should step forward and fully inform the people of everything."
On the scrapping of the revised bill for three special counsel probes that the ruling and opposition floor leaders agreed to the day before, he said, "The floor leader presented a negotiation plan, but the Yeouido president and the Chungjeongno president twisted it and brought us to where we are," adding, "The president should also show a willingness to accept at least a few of the items proposed at the recent meeting."
