Lee Jae-myung's support for presidential performance has risen for three consecutive weeks.
According to a survey conducted by Realmeter at the request of the Energy Economic Newspaper from the 1st to the 5th, involving 2,519 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, 56% of respondents positively evaluated President Lee Jae-myung's presidential performance. President Lee's approval rating had dropped to 51.1% in the second week of August but has since shown an upward trend for three consecutive weeks.
39.2% of respondents evaluated the president's performance negatively, a decrease of 3.1 percentage points compared to the previous week.
Realmeter analyzed, "The declaration of a drought disaster in Gangneung, the designation of delayed wages as a serious crime, and directives for improving regional overcharging are results that seem to have positively impacted people's livelihood policies directly related to the economy of ordinary citizens."
In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 44.6%, while the People Power Party recorded 36.2%. The Democratic Party's support decreased by 2.1 percentage points, and the People Power Party's support increased by 0.1 percentage points. The Rebuilding Korea Party had 2.7%, the Reform Party had 4.5%, and The Progressive Party had 1.3%. The party support survey was conducted among 1,005 voters aged 18 and over nationwide from the 4th to the 5th.
Both surveys were conducted using a wireless automated response method. The sampling error for the presidential performance support survey is ±2.0 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and the sampling error for the party support survey is ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
