Prime Minister Kim Min-seok instructed to "make every effort to ensure that there is no neglect of infrastructure" in relation to the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit to be held next month in Gyeongju.
On the morning of the 5th, at the 8th preparatory committee meeting for the "2025 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit" held at the Government Seoul Building, Prime Minister Kim stated, "The infrastructure is expected to be completed by mid-September, or by the end of the month at the latest."
Prime Minister Kim noted, "One of the biggest concerns before the new government took office was APEC," adding, "Interest in APEC is increasing internationally, and especially after the Korea-U.S. summit, I think interest is growing even more considering various situations."
He said, "It seems that we need to raise the quality of various programs and cultural events considerably," and requested, "Since there is a special meaning in promoting Korea's cultural excellence to the world through APEC, please take special care in that regard."
He continued, "We need to pay attention to the details," adding, "Last time, we checked all aspects related to the movement and security, but we need to ensure the final quality in every aspect, including meals."
He added, "Let's make one more push to ensure the success of APEC."
