President Lee Jae-myung will hold a press conference on the 11th to mark his 100th day in office, the Presidential Office announced on the 3rd. The conference slogan is '100 days for recovery, growth for the future.' The President will directly explain the government's direction for national growth, and there will be a Q&A session with the attending press corps.
According to Lee Gyu-yeon, senior presidential secretary for public communication, the scheduled time for the conference is about 90 minutes. The topics will be divided into three areas: ▲ livelihood and economy ▲ politics, diplomacy, and security ▲ society and culture, with more than 150 reporters from both domestic and foreign media invited. Questions and answers will not be coordinated in advance, and questioners will be chosen on the spot through a draw. However, there will be adjustments from the Presidential Office to prevent questions from concentrating on specific topics.
This press conference comes about 70 days after President Lee held a press conference titled 'The President's 30 days, the media asks and the public answers' at the Blue House guesthouse to mark one month in office on July 3rd. It was noted for being the earliest held by a sitting president.
