Shin Dong-uk, Kim Min-soo, Yang Hyang-ja, and Kim Jae-won were elected as Supreme Council members of the People Power Party. The youth Supreme Council member was elected as Woo Jae-jun.
The People Power Party held its 6th national convention at Osco in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, on the 22nd. At this event, four Supreme Council members for the new party leadership and one youth Supreme Council member were elected.
A total of 650,364 people participated in the Supreme Council voting, with a turnout rate of 43.40%. In the youth Supreme Council voting, 324,294 people participated, resulting in a turnout rate of 43.06%.
As a result of the vote counting, Shin Dong-uk, Kim Min-soo, Yang Hyang-ja, and Kim Jae-won were elected as Supreme Council members. Combining the results of the voter-group vote and opinion polls, Shin Dong-uk received the most votes with 172,341. Following him were Kim Min-soo with 154,940 votes, Yang Hyang-ja with 103,957 votes, and Kim Jae-won with 99,752 votes, respectively.
The youth Supreme Council member was occupied by incumbent member Woo Jae-jun. He received 204,627 votes, surpassing Son Su-jo with 200,740 votes to secure the position.
