An unusual scene has been revealed where Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, directly summoned and encouraged the commanders of the Russian deployment units.
The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 20th that Kim Jong Un met with commanders of overseas operational units at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party in Pyongyang. They are individuals who returned home after participating in the 'Liberation Operation' in Russia's Kursk province and attended a national commendation ceremony. After receiving the operational reports, Kim Jong Un praised their loyalty and achievements, stating, 'We have solidified the reputation of the strongest military in the world.'
Published photos captured Kim Jong Un sitting and conversing with the commanders. On the table, there were cigarettes, an ashtray, and matchsticks, suggesting that smoking was permitted in his office. Smoking alongside the 'supreme dignity' in North Korea is an extremely rare privilege, and experts evaluated this as 'the maximum encouragement Kim Jong Un can provide.' In the past, scenes of smoking together had been captured right after major military achievements, such as successful missile launches.
It is reported that North Korea has incurred significant casualties due to this deployment. In response, the Kim Jong Un regime is interpreted to be taking measures to solidify public sentiment by prominently highlighting the contributions of the deployed soldiers to prevent internal unrest. A Ministry of Unification official also analyzed that 'this is the third official confirmation of North Korea's deployment' and indicated 'an intention to emphasize the legitimacy of the deployment and boost troop morale.'
