Candidates for the People Power Party's leadership clashed on the 19th during their final TV debate regarding former President Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of a state of emergency and impeachment. Similar to the 1st and 2nd debates, a standoff continued between candidates Kim Moon-soo and Jang Dong-hyuk, who are against impeachment, and Ahn Cheol-soo and Jo Kyung-tae, who are for impeachment.
Candidate Kim and Candidate Jo conflicted over the issue of the state of emergency. Candidate Kim noted, "The state of emergency was wrong, and it has enough illegality to lead to impeachment by the Constitutional Court," adding, "I accept the Constitutional Court's ruling, but that does not mean I can accept it as perfect in every aspect." In response, Candidate Jo criticized, "Was that a comment made in consideration of the hardline supporters known as 'Yoon Again'? Our country is a democratic nation, not a 'Yoonocracy.'"
Then, Candidate Kim said, "What Democratic Party member Jo Kyung-tae is saying could be valid, but Candidate Jo is a member of the People Power Party," questioning, "Why doesn't he resign from the candidacy?"
Candidates Jang and Jo also clashed over the legitimacy of impeachment. When Candidate Jang said, "There is a possibility of early resignation, so I don't understand why we must go through impeachment," Candidate Jo replied, "We went for impeachment because there was no intention for an early exit." During this exchange, Candidate Jang objected, saying, "Don't distort the facts."
Former representative Han Dong-hoon and far-right figure Jeon Han-gil were also mentioned by the candidates. Candidate Ahn directed a question toward Candidate Kim, saying, "You said you would work with all organizations outside the party, but then you imposed sanctions on former representative Han Dong-hoon. What is the reason for drawing a line on party members?"
In response, Candidate Kim explained, "The party leader (former representative Han) who took the lead in impeaching the president he elected and served with for a long time made a very wrong political decision and committed a very wrong act personally."
