President Lee Jae-myung said on the 13th that he had a currency with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, according to the Presidential Office.
President Lee expressed gratitude for Crown Prince Salman's congratulations on his inauguration and said, "Korea and Saudi Arabia are closely cooperating as 'future-oriented strategic partners.'"
He continued, "I hope that Korea becomes a partner that moves forward together to strengthen and develop the future strategic industrial competitiveness of both countries as a key cooperating country in Saudi Arabia's oil-free and economic diversification policy, 'Saudi Vision 2030,'" and added, "Let's work together to achieve tangible results."
The two leaders assessed that "the two countries are expanding cooperation into various sectors, including manufacturing, defense, and advanced technology, in addition to traditional energy and construction." They agreed to continue to strengthen this cooperation.
They also agreed to meet directly at a mutually convenient time to continue close discussions on ways to develop bilateral relations.
