The People Power Party has prohibited former Korean history instructor Jeon Han-gil from entering the party convention, and Jeon responded that this is media suppression.
On the 8th, Jeon said, "Jeon Han-gil has the right to enter as a journalist for the convention," and added, "If prohibited, it will be media suppression." Earlier, Song Eon-seok, chairman of the emergency response committee of the People Power Party and floor leader, stated through emergency directives, "I warn sternly about making what should be a festive convention a venue for division and conflict."
Chairman Song stated, "We will ban individuals who do not have delegate qualifications, including Jeon Han-gil, who caused confusion, from entering all future convention schedules," and added, "I hope the election commission and the central party, as well as local party offices, will pay special attention to ensure that the convention is conducted smoothly."
Jeon sat in the press section as the publisher of Jeon Han-gil News at the 6th party convention joint speech held at the Daegu EXCO convention hall. Jeon led the attendees at the convention in chanting "traitor" while broadcasting the event live on YouTube.
