Immediately after the party convention, Representative Jeong held a supreme committee meeting on site and appointed Han Min-soo, who previously served as the party's spokesperson, as the new secretary general, Kim Young-hwan, a 'policy expert', as the chief secretary, and Kwon Hyang-yeop as the spokesperson.
Kwon noted during a meeting with reporters that 'only the appointments for three positions have been decided, and the other party positions, including the secretary general, will be announced after discussions at the supreme committee meeting.'
For his first official schedule, Representative Jeong is expected to visit the Nohan-myeon area of Naju, Jeollanam-do, on the 3rd to support disaster recovery efforts. During the previous party convention, Representative Jeong visited areas affected by heavy rainfall and has been participating in disaster recovery efforts.
