Local government officials in charge of consumer recovery subsidy coupons can now receive overtime pay for up to 8 hours a day. Previously, the maximum was only up to 4 hours per day. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety prepared this compensation plan as the issuance of consumer coupons began on the 21st, leading to a surge in official duties.
On the 25th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that it would expand the limit on overtime pay for local government officials handling consumer coupon-related tasks from 4 hours to 8 hours a day. According to the regulations concerning local government officials' allowances, overtime pay is provided for up to 4 hours a day and 57 hours a month.
However, if unavoidable duties arise, the municipal heads can increase it to 8 hours a day and 100 hours a month at their discretion. This measure was decided upon due to the recent increase in official duties related to consumer coupons.
