In response to a follow-up question about whether he would go within this week, he said, "We have to negotiate on that," and added, "I will do my best to go as soon as possible." When asked if it was acceptable to report that he would visit the U.S. this week, he shook his head without providing an answer.
When asked, "Will Minister Kim Jeong-gwan of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy accompany you on the visit to the U.S.?" he replied, "That part also needs to be negotiated with the United States."
