The committee will fully commence organization restructuring and preparations for the party convention before the August convention.
On this day, the national committee and the standing national committee approved the appointment of commissioners to the emergency response committee and the amendments to party regulations as originally proposed through a non-face-to-face Automatic Response System (ARS) vote.
The new emergency response committee consists of six members, including Chairman Song Eon-seok, ▲Park Deok-heum (four-term, Chungbuk Boeun, Okcheon, Yeongdong, Gwatchesan) ▲Cho Eun-hee (two-term, Seoul Seocho-gap) ▲Kim Dae-sik (first-term, Busan Sasang), ▲Park Jin-ho (Gyeonggi Gimpo-gap) party cooperation committee chair, and ▲Hong Hyeong-seon (Hwaseong-gap) committee chair.
This emergency response committee is to be temporarily operated as a 'management-type emergency response committee' until the party convention scheduled for August, and it will immediately enter discussions on specific schedules and primary election rules, including the formation of a preparatory committee for the party convention and an election management committee. The party headquarters is reportedly reviewing the schedule for the party convention for mid-August.
The People Power Party's emergency response committee stated, "We will do our best to reorganize the party organization and stabilize people's livelihoods with an extraordinary commitment to restore public trust more than ever."
