President Lee Jae-myung will hold a luncheon meeting with the leaders of five non-negotiating parties, including the Rebuilding Korea Party, on the 3rd.
Woo Sang-ho, the chief political advisor to the presidential office, announced at a briefing this afternoon at the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Seoul, that "the luncheon meeting between President Lee Jae-myung and the leaders of five non-negotiating parties is scheduled to take place on July 3 at 12:30 p.m." Previously, President Lee had a luncheon meeting with the negotiating party leaders on the 22nd of last month.
Chief Political Advisor Woo noted, "This meeting aims to widen the dialogue with other opposition parties following the previous meeting with the negotiating party leaders," adding, "It is expected to proceed freely without an agenda restriction."
He added, "At this meeting, President Lee Jae-myung is expected to provide a detailed explanation of recent national affairs and various diplomatic issues and request the cooperation of the opposition parties."
Attending the luncheon meeting will be Kim Seon-min, acting leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, Seo Wang-jin, floor leader of the same party, Kim Jae-yeon, leader of the Progressive Party, Yun Jong-oh, floor leader of the Progressive Party, Cheon Ha-ram, acting leader and floor leader of the Reform Party, Yong Hye-in, leader and floor leader of the Basic Income Party, and Han Chang-min, leader and floor leader of the Social Democratic Party of Korea. From the presidential office, Kang Hoon, the secretary general, and Woo, the chief political advisor, will also be present.
