Ahead of the launch of the special prosecutor's team, Kim Keon-hee, who had been hospitalized due to health issues such as depression, will be discharged from the hospital after 11 days.
On the 27th, Kim's attorney noted, "She is scheduled to go through the discharge procedures today and will continue treatment at home for the time being," and added, "She will diligently respond to legitimate summons requests in accordance with the (special prosecutor team's) regulations."
Kim was admitted to Seoul Asan Hospital on the 16th due to a deterioration in her health. This was four days after the appointment of special prosecutor Min Jung-ki and the start of the investigation team.
He has been staying at his AcroVista residence in Seocho District since leaving the official residence in Hannam-dong on April 11, suspending all official schedules. The last sighting captured in public was on the 3rd when he appeared at a polling station.
Kim's health has reportedly deteriorated amid various investigations and the impeachment situation.
Meanwhile, special prosecutor Min Jung-ki reported to the temporary office set up in Seocho District that "We have not yet requested Kim Keon-hee to appear."
