The National Tax Service announced on the 24th that it is operating tax consulting to support the succession of businesses in small and medium-sized enterprises.
The National Tax Service is currently operating a tax consulting system for business succession to assist small and medium-sized enterprises that find it difficult to receive consulting from external experts due to economic burdens.
The eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in industries subject to business succession (with an average income of 12 billion won or less over the past three years). Consulting can be applied for if the CEO has been continuously employed for over five years or if post-management is in progress after the business succession.
The National Tax Service will diagnose the application requirements for tax benefits in advance for small and medium-sized enterprises selected as business succession tax consulting support providers and will guide them on areas that need improvement. In cases where inquiries requiring legal interpretation are made, they will be prioritized.
The National Tax Service decided to give preferential treatment to businesses that have been harmed due to U.S. tariff policies this year and to export small and medium-sized enterprises selected as tax support targets by the Korea Customs Service and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). Starting this year, 'century-old stores' that have been in business for over 30 years and have contributed to national economic development for a long time have also been added to the consulting target.
Businesses wishing to consult can apply by visiting the tax office throughout July, or through mail or home tax services.
