Ryu Kwan-seok, a special prosecutor assistant, is a former military legal officer and investigated the military service fraud of Lee Hwa-chan, the eldest son of former Grand National Party leader Lee Hoi-chang, alongside this special prosecutor in 1999. Lee Geum-gyu, special prosecutor assistant, participated as a representative in the National Assembly during the impeachment trial of former President Yoon Suk-yeol. Kim Sook-jeong, special prosecutor assistant, is a former prosecutor at the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO). Jeong Min-young, special prosecutor assistant, worked as a special investigator in the Park Geun-hye-Choi Soon-sil National Disaster Management Special Investigation Team.
This special prosecutor plans to prepare for a full investigation by requesting the transfer of investigation records and manpower dispatch from the CIO, Daegu District Prosecutor's Office, and Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency, which have previously investigated the case.
