Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, said on the 30th that "Lee Jae-myung must be stopped to revive the economy."
Candidate Kim stated this while announcing an 'appeal to the nation' at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, in the morning. "A person who deceives the people with lies and talks ahead cannot revive the economy. With a dirty mouth, filthy hands, and a mind that deceives the people, he will only drag our economy down," Kim said.
He added, "At every broadcast debate, he avoids the answers the people want to hear and deflects his own immoral behavior by calling it 'trivial matters.' A candidate who is unqualified and shameless, changing words at every opportunity, must be ousted in this election." Referring to recent allegations involving Lee Jae-myung's son and misogyny, he added, "Instead of apologizing, he attacks unrelated areas for his son's antisocial behavior."
Kim Moon-soo said, "In addition to toying with criminal trials, we have clearly witnessed brazen illegal acts such as biased candidacies, privatization of the legislature, and intimidation of the judiciary. Just thinking about what a vulgar and brutal person like this might do with power as a shield and weapon if elected president is horrifying," he stated.
He emphasized, "Above all, the economy will plunge into a dark abyss," and noted, "Youth jobs will disappear under a labor union-led government, and house prices will skyrocket as they did under the Moon Jae-in administration. There are widespread rumors that people should buy houses if a Democrat becomes president," he said. He further stated, "Lee Jae-myung promotes himself as a satellite of the labor unions, an 'environmental activism Taliban,' aiming to disrupt entire industrial and nuclear power ecosystems and focusing all efforts on stirring public sentiments so left-wing civic groups can survive on tax money." He warned, "Korea will become a country where violence and corruption prevail, as depicted in the film 'Asura.'"
Kim Moon-soo also addressed Korea-U.S. trade issues, saying, "Lee Jae-myung has not proposed solutions. There are no solutions," and added, "Considering the controversial 'sheshe' remarks and the illegal remittance incident to North Korea, one can't help but wonder if he intends to allow Korea-U.S. tensions to fester and hopes for a crack in the alliance."
He remarked, "Only those who have revived the economy can save it," explaining, "During my tenure as governor of Gyeonggi Province, I attracted global corporations like Samsung and LG Electronics, transforming Gyeonggi into Korea's leading industrial city, laying the groundwork for these corporations to create jobs and lead worldwide." Furthermore, he pledged to implement economic revival policies, including ▲ a supplementary budget of 30 trillion won for people's welfare ▲ expansion of the national GTX network ▲ establishment of comprehensive AI infrastructure including manpower, power, and data ▲ creation of a new regulatory innovation office to radically break regulations ▲ expansion of export routes for K-nuclear power, defense, and shipbuilding ▲ activation of housing supply in urban areas ▲ establishment of a specialized bank for ordinary citizens and small business owners.
Kim Moon-soo acknowledged, "There have been many shortcomings in the People Power Party," and expressed, "I sincerely apologize for disappointing the people. I will self-reflect and improve, over and over." He added, "To allow Korea to advance, give Kim Moon-soo, who will run with all effort solely for the people, an opportunity to work."
