Earlier that day, former lawmaker Kim claimed on YTN Radio, 'Efforts were being made toward unification, and a proposal for debate was received through lawmaker Shin Sung-bum (head of the task force's big tent promotion). I was preparing to visit Lee Jun-seok's office when a last-minute message was delivered to change the location. Subsequently, we were informed of the meeting's cancellation.'
Candidate Lee stated on social media that day, 'Former lawmaker Kim Jae-won was on the radio saying I was supposed to meet Kim Moon-soo at the National Assembly Members' Office Building at 9 a.m. yesterday. However, we were at Jongno 3-ga until 9 a.m. for a scheduled public event, and then continued with another public event at Hongdae from 10 a.m.'
Candidate Lee continued, 'The scheduled public events were followed as planned, so it doesn't even align with the facts from the start. I understand there have been many from the People Power Party claiming to have spoken with Lee Jun-seok lately, saying they've been organizing something, but I have been rejecting these offers.'
