The Democratic Party of Korea urged the National Election Commission on the 30th to ensure proper election management, saying, "It was very unfortunate, regrettable, and disappointing to see many issues revealed yesterday." They added, "We ask you to thoroughly evaluate the mistakes made yesterday and do your utmost to prevent recurrence from today onward."
Cho Seung-rae, the chief spokesperson of the election committee, noted in a briefing at the main party office in Yeouido, Seoul, this morning, "Shouldn't we prevent a situation where voters distrust the National Election Commission due to such poor management?" The day before (29th), management deficiencies arose, including ballots being taken outside at a polling station in Seoul.
Chief Spokesperson Cho added, "We will also urge the National Election Commission to ensure proper election management."
On the second day of early voting, the Democratic Party issued a message urging participation in the early voting.
Presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung expressed on Facebook, "Please encourage everyone, including family, friends, relatives, and colleagues, to participate in voting without exception," and added, "I urge you to gather strength for each precious vote until the end."
Chief Spokesperson Cho said, "We once again urge many citizens to actively participate in early voting," stating that "overwhelming voter turnout will become the driving force and source for Korea to overcome crises."
