Lee Jun-seok, the candidate of the Reform Party, registered as a presidential candidate with the National Election Commission on the 10th.
After completing his candidate registration that day, Lee noted in a meeting with reporters, "My role and calling is to stop the forces that endangered the people through martial law and another force that is arrogant enough to threaten the separation of powers, to preserve the spirit of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, and to create another opportunity for the Republic of Korea to take a leap forward."
Lee also mentioned both parties similarly on Facebook, stating, "I will run tirelessly to block that path," and added, "I will start the fight to protect reason, the Constitution, the future, and freedom." He further urged, "Please lend your strength to the path of restoring the Republic of Korea."
