The committee discussed this year's operation plan for the Long-Term Tax Policy Deliberation Committee, projections for macroeconomics and national tax revenue conditions over the long term, and other related topics.
The chairperson of the Long-Term Tax Policy Deliberation Committee is Lee Jun-bong, a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, and the commissioners consist of members of the Tax Development Deliberation Committee and experts in finance, welfare, and unification.
The Long-Term Tax Policy Deliberation Committee performs advisory and deliberative roles regarding the Long-Term Tax Policy Operation Plan. The government plans to submit the Long-Term Tax Policy Operation Plan and the National Fiscal Management Plan to the National Assembly in early September.
