Bank of Korea Governor Lee Chang-yong will attend the 58th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Milan, Italy, from May 4 to 7, the Bank of Korea announced on May 1.
During this meeting, Governor Lee is expected to meet with finance ministers, Central Bank governors, and international financial officials to discuss the current global economic situation and policy responses.
In addition, Governor Lee will also attend the Japan-China-Korea Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting on the 4th, held alongside the ADB meeting. Discussions will focus on the economic situation in Northeast Asia and ways to enhance financial cooperation.
Following this, Governor Lee plans to participate in the ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting, where they will review recent financial and economic conditions and key risk factors, and seek agreement among member countries to strengthen regional financial cooperation.
After the annual meeting, Governor Lee is scheduled to visit Paris, France, from the 7th to the 9th, for discussions with Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He will also attend the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) governors' meeting in Basel, Switzerland, from the 10th to the 12th, to discuss key global financial issues with major Central Bank governors.
