Han Dong-hoon, a candidate in the People Power Party's presidential primary, said on the 27th, "Do you want to see me crush Lee Jae-myung?" and added, "Please provide majority support this time so that I can reserve my strength to pour it into the candidate Lee Jae-myung."
Candidate Han noted on Facebook, "We need drama to defeat the Democratic Party's Lee Jae-myung."
The People Power Party will conduct a second primary vote over two days starting today, using a member vote (50%) and a public opinion poll (50%). If a candidate receives a majority of votes, they will be confirmed as the party's presidential candidate; otherwise, a final primary will be held between the top two candidates.
Candidate Han addressed the debate held the day before among the top four candidates, saying, "(Other candidates) are all excellent, but think about whether you can handle a debate with Lee Jae-myung. Since I am on the same side, I only used 10% of my strength," and added, "I will pour 200% of my effort into candidate Lee Jae-myung. I will expend all the strength I have saved to crush Lee Jae-myung."
Candidate Han stated, "I have repeated cycles of reforming politics, following public sentiment, being ousted, and then resurrecting," and said, "If I can overwhelmingly win the primary despite adversities, it will be a drama that encapsulates the aspiration for political reform."
He continued, "With the emotion of that drama, we can defeat the Democratic Party's Lee Jae-myung," and emphasized, "I will inevitably end old-fashioned politics and achieve political reform and a change of eras."
