The People Power Party presented its pledge to introduce 'K-Won Pass,' which integrates public transportation discounts and support systems of local governments nationwide, on the 24th.
Chairperson Kwon Young-se said at the National Assembly's emergency response committee meeting that "various public transportation discount and support systems are being implemented in local governments nationwide, but due to the lack of connectivity in the systems, the public is not receiving sufficient benefits."
Chairperson Kwon noted, "We plan to allow unlimited use of buses, subways, and village buses nationally for 60,000 won per month, and provide a discount so that the 10 and 20 age groups can use it for 50,000 won per month." He added, "Reducing the cost of living for the public is fundamental, and this future-oriented practical policy can achieve four effects at once: easing road congestion, enhancing equity between regions, and responding to the climate crisis through carbon reduction."
Policy Chief Kim Sang-hoon said, "K-Won Pass will essentially become our party's presidential campaign promise," and added, "We will create a country that is good for working and good for corporations."
