Kim Moon-soo, a candidate for the presidential primary of the People Power Party, said on the 19th, "I will provide incentives such as corporate tax reductions for corporations that hire new employees through public recruitment, bonus points when bidding for government projects, and preference in ESG (environmental, social, and governance) evaluations."
On the same day, at a promise announcement press conference held at his election office in Yeouido, Kim noted, "I will encourage public recruitment of new employees conducted by large corporations in the past to provide the job opportunities that young people most desire," announcing the 'policy to encourage public recruitment of new employees in 30s groups.'
Kim pledged to expand the scope of the tax credit for personnel development concerning the new recruitment expert training program. He stated that the current deductions limited to lecture fees and teaching materials would be expanded to include facility costs.
He said, "The public recruitment system for new employees was a gateway to employment at large corporations in the past, but now many large companies, except for Samsung, have abolished the system," adding that "the public recruitment system will advance the employment timing for university graduates and enhance the fairness and predictability of hiring."
Kim said, "After talking with young people, I found that currently large corporations prefer hiring experienced candidates for new roles, and even for new hires, they favor 'experienced newcomers.'" He continued, "I heard complaints that university graduates are facing significant difficulties in finding jobs," and added, "Through the policy to encourage public recruitment of new employees in the 30s groups, I will restore the ladder of opportunity for young people."
