The People Power Party claimed that it is a "national deception" regarding the recent release of audit results from the Board of Audit and Inspection, which indicated that statistical manipulation, including housing prices, occurred during the Moon Jae-in administration, stating that "the Democratic Party of Korea must immediately apologize to the public and take responsibility."
On the 19th, spokesman Shin Dong-uk said in a commentary, "Did former President Moon Jae-in make the absurd statement that 'housing prices are stabilizing' based on fabricated manipulated statistics?"
Spokesman Shin pointed out that "hiding the failure of the income-led growth policy and establishing policies based on false statistics is no different from deceiving the public," adding that it is "clearly a mockery of state governance and an organized crime at the government level."
He added, "The act of mocking the public deserves condemnation," emphasizing that "a thorough investigation without any sacred cows must uncover the whole truth. The prosecution must summon former President Moon and conduct a thorough investigation to resolve the suspicions and establish the rule of law."
He continued, "Democratic Party members who were part of the Blue House during the Moon Jae-in administration cannot escape the stern judgment of the law," stating that "the public is watching with both eyes open to see if legal sanctions commensurate with actions that shake the foundation of the nation and betray the public will be carried out."
