Park Chan-dae, acting representative of the Democratic Party of Korea and floor leader, said on the 14th, "The designation by the U.S. Department of Energy as a sensitive country for our country will take effect starting tomorrow," adding, "Since the acting officials are all caught in 'Nan-gap-byeong' (meaning 'Could I be the next president?'), did they respond properly?"

On the same day in the morning, Park noted at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, "The government has been holding high-level and practical discussions to lift the sensitive country designation, but it has come to nothing," he said.

He stated, "The effect of the sensitive country designation means that cooperation and collaboration in high-tech areas such as artificial intelligence, nuclear, and energy are restricted between South Korea and the U.S.," adding, "The development of cutting-edge science and technology is a crucial time that determines the growth of future industry, but the government's complacent response and handling have led to a disaster."

He continued, "The damage caused by the reality-defying nuclear armament theory and the government's delayed response since the designation of a sensitive country is significant," urging, "The government should not rely on the U.S.'s generic response that there will be no issues with future cooperation and should actively clarify and restore trust to prevent the situation from becoming prolonged."

Supreme Council members directed their sharp criticism more directly toward Han Duck-soo, the acting Prime Minister and a potential presidential candidate from the People Power Party, as the 'presidential candidate call' emerged within the party.

Kim Min-seok, the chief Supreme Council member, remarked, "The People Power Party's mainstream presidential goal has been organized around succession to a coup and seizing party power," adding, "It is a plan to maintain party power through a unification show that dangles Han in front of the candidate being selected in a pointless far-right primary."

He further noted, "Ignoring the constitution, showcasing English, brazenly shameless behaviors, and associating with shamanism are all Yoon Suk-yeol's trademarks, and since there are no internal party foundations, it perfectly fits as a proxy for Yoon Suk-yeol." He added, "The combination of a coup candidate from the People Power Party and an independent coup candidate will still amount to the same coup candidate. The public will reject any candidate for succession to a coup."

Kim urged, "If you are going to remain ambiguous and continue the clumsy media play of speculation about your candidacy, caught in the 'Nan-gap-byeong of obsession with the past,' I recommend that you resign immediately today."

Supreme Council member Jeon Hyun-hee said, "Han Duck-soo, who should be focused on preparing for the next president, seems to be transforming into a burglar intent on stealing the country whole," urging, "Instead of dreaming of being a proxy for Yoon Suk-yeol, Han should refrain from meddling in the presidential election and focus on fair management of the election."

Supreme Council member Kim Byeong-joo remarked, "How can someone who should apologize sincerely to the public even talk about running for president? It lacks decency," adding, "If you even have the slightest intention of running, leave that position immediately."
