On the 14th, Representative Yoon posted on his Facebook, "I had no ambition for the president or any power, not even a tiny bit. It’s the same now," and he added, "I will do what I need to do from my current position."

He said, "My role is to prevent entrusted criminals from endangering the fate of the nation. I will continue to uphold the Republic of Korea against the forces both within and outside the system, including the black cartel," and he stated, "Even if it is a difficult path to pave the way for the opposition coalition, I will persevere quietly and move forward."

Initially, Representative Yoon was scheduled to declare his candidacy for the presidential election at the National Assembly on the 15th. However, as discussions arose within the party to promote a ‘conservative big tent’ centered on the ‘anti-LEE Jae-myung coalition’ after a candidate for the main election is selected, it appears that he has shifted his stance towards participating in the big tent. A representative from Yoon's office told ChosunBiz over the phone, "It's not that he has decided not to run for the presidential election. The expression should be that he will not participate in the primary."

As of 3 p.m. on this day, the candidates participating in the People Power Party’s presidential primary include former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, Representative Na Kyung-won, Representative Ahn Cheol-soo, former party leader Han Dong-hoon, former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, Gyeongbuk Governor Lee Cheol-woo, and Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, and former Saenuri Party (formerly the People Power Party) leader Lee Jeong-hyun have announced that they will not run for president, and on the 13th, former Representative Yoo Seung-min stated that he would not participate in the People Power Party primary.
