The People Power Party revealed seven policy directions on the 7th, ahead of the presidential election confirmed for June 3.
Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People Power Party's policy committee, noted during an emergency response committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the same day, "We will genuinely approach voters with policies that give hope to the people and promises that reflect a bright future for South Korea."
The chairman proposed directions for the presidential election promises, including ▲a future-oriented innovative nation for economic re-emergence, such as fostering advanced industries ▲a country that is good for working and for corporations, with various regulations relaxed, including exceptions to the 52-hour work week, and labor-management cooperation ▲a warm welfare state that thoroughly protects the socially vulnerable and people with disabilities.
Additionally, he highlighted a balanced development nation where the metropolitan area and provinces grow together, ▲a sustainable country where youth can dream of the future, and ▲a safe country for the people from social disasters and crime as key directions.
The chairman emphasized, "While developing existing livelihood agendas into concrete promises, we will discover innovative and responsible commitments that meet the challenges of the new era."
He also called on the Democratic Party to promptly process supplementary budgets, stating, "Residents affected by wildfires should return to their daily lives as soon as possible, and we must modernize firefighting equipment such as aging helicopters."
