The business community stated that it respects the Constitutional Court's decision to remove President Yoon Suk-yeol and requested the swift normalization of state affairs.
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KORCHAM) noted in a commentary on the 4th that it "respects this Constitutional Court decision" and emphasized that "our economy currently faces complex challenges both domestically and internationally, including domestic stagnation, weakening competitiveness of key industries, tariff measures from the United States, and the spread of protectionism."
KORCHAM remarked, "Given this severe economic situation, it is now time to move beyond social confrontation and conflict and to expedite the normalization of state affairs, allowing for ongoing efforts towards economic recovery and stability in people's livelihoods," adding that "the business community will spare no effort for the sustained growth of our economy."
The Korea Enterprises Federation (KEF) stated, "All citizens should humbly accept the Constitutional Court's decision to end the intense political and social confrontations caused by the impeachment crisis and focus on social integration and stability."
KEF expressed, "The government and the National Assembly should demonstrate cooperative leadership that transcends party lines to promptly resolve the social chaos stemming from a vacuum in governance and division of public opinion," adding that "all economic entities, including labor and management, must fulfill their roles and work together to enhance social stability and invigorate our economy."
On this day, the Constitutional Court unanimously upheld the impeachment motion for President Yoon by all eight justices.
