The leaders of both parties plan to watch the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk-yeol, scheduled for 11 a.m. on the 4th, broadcast live from the National Assembly.

On the 3rd, Shin Dong-wook, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said, “We have called an emergency response committee meeting for tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.,” and added, “We will naturally watch the ruling on TV.” Kweon Seong-dong, chair of the emergency response committee, along with the floor leader, will gather to watch the ruling. They are expected to organize and announce the party’s stance based on the Constitutional Court's decision. Afterwards, they plan to hold a general meeting of lawmakers to discuss response measures to the ruling and future party operation plans.

A representative of the Democratic Party also noted, “Tomorrow, leader Lee Jae-myung and other leaders will watch the results broadcast live from the National Assembly.” The representative stated, “Immediately after the Constitutional Court’s impeachment ruling, they will hold a general meeting and discuss the party’s response, future plans, and the stabilization of the political situation.”

Meanwhile, President Yoon has expressed his intention not to attend the impeachment ruling taking place at the Constitutional Court. The president's legal team explained, “We considered the need to maintain order and security for the president given the concerns about crowding.”

President Yoon is expected to watch the impeachment ruling live from the residence in Hannam-dong.
