Kweon Seong-dong, the floor leader, met with reporters at the National Assembly that morning and said, "The date for the presidential impeachment ruling has been set. Our party has urged the Constitutional Court to set an early ruling date. We are relieved and welcome that the Constitutional Court has scheduled this date in a timely manner."

He added, "The presidential impeachment trial is a matter of great importance to the state and a very difficult path that could change the destiny of the nation and the people. We expect a fair ruling based on legal principles and conscience."

Kweon also stressed, "Regardless of the ruling made by the Constitutional Court, social conflicts will intensify," and said, "After the Constitutional Court's ruling, both the ruling and opposition parties must take the lead in alleviating national conflicts and uniting the people."

Regarding preparations for an early presidential election in response to the impeachment ruling outlook or quotations, he said, "This is not something I can comment on" and did not provide further answers.

Kweon Yong-se, the chairman of the emergency response committee, also met with reporters after a meeting related to building an "AI ecosystem" in Seocho District, Seoul, and noted, "I have reiterated the need for acceptance several times" and emphasized, "We must accept whatever conclusion arises."

He continued, "It is very fortunate that the Constitutional Court has set a date now, allowing us to resolve the constitutional instability" and said, "I expect each of the constitutional judges to consider the national interest and make decisions neutrally and fairly."

Some lawmakers from the ruling party are expected to visit the Constitutional Court on the day of the ruling. Kweon anticipated, "I expect several lawmakers will attend the proceedings."

Earlier, the Constitutional Court announced that it would conduct the ruling on President Yoon's impeachment at 11 a.m. on the 4th. The ruling will take place 38 days after concluding the arguments on February 25. If more than six of the eight constitutional judges vote in favor of the impeachment, President Yoon will be immediately removed from office. In this case, a presidential election will be held within 60 days according to the constitution. Conversely, if the number of judges in favor of impeachment is less than six, the ruling will be dismissed or rejected, and President Yoon will return to duty immediately.
