Democratic Party chief spokesperson Cho Seung-rae met with reporters after a closed Supreme Council meeting at the National Assembly on the morning of the 1st and said, "I believe the Constitutional Court will show a firm will to uphold the constitutional order and the constitution by dismissing the insurrection leader Yoon Suk Yeol."

Spokesperson Cho noted, "The Constitutional Court has set April 4th as the date for the ruling on the impeachment trial of insurrection leader Yoon Suk Yeol," adding, "Finally, the Constitutional Court has responded to the long wait of the people, which lasted four months." He emphasized, "I hope the Constitutional Court will respect the will of the sovereign people."

The Democratic Party decided to maintain its push for the appointment of Constitutional Court Justice Ma Eun-hyuk and the impeachment stance against Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok. However, the decision on whether to impeach Acting Prime Minister Han Duck-soo will be postponed.

Spokesperson Cho stated, "Regarding the impeachment of Deputy Prime Minister Choi, it will be reported as scheduled when the plenary session is held," and added, "We have discussed a significant decision regarding Acting Prime Minister Han and did not mention impeachment, so we will wait to see the date."

He continued, "On the one hand, if the appointment of candidate Ma was something that was considered in conjunction with the ruling on Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment, then the grounds have already been resolved, haven't they?" He explained, "I believe there is no reason for Acting Prime Minister Han to hesitate in immediately appointing candidate Ma."
